- receiving, energy usage information data and an origination information data at a logger device;
determining to which plurality of non-volatile storage devices to distribute the received energy usage information data, based on the origination information data; and
distributing the energy usage information data to one of the plurality of each non-volatile storage devices;
wherein each non-volatile storage device is part of a respective group of non-volatile storage devices;
wherein the origination information data is established by each agent device, and is a part of an energy usage data packet, the origination information data is indicative of an energy measurement device that originated the energy usage information data; and
wherein the energy measurement device transmits the energy usage information data to a primary and a secondary data collection agent device.
