Method of processing non-real time service and broadcast receiver
First Claim
1. A method of processing a non-real time service of a broadcast receiver, comprising:
- receiving, at a tuner of the broadcast receiver, a signaling information table including information describing contents configuring the non-real time service, a non-real time service table containing service level attributes for the non-real time service, and a file delivery table (FDT) including information describing files configuring each of the contents;
acquiring, at a service manager of the broadcast receiver, the information describing the contents from the signaling information table and the information describing the files from the FDT,wherein the non-real time service table includes a first field indicating a number of components for the non-real time service and a second field indicating whether each of the components is an essential component for the non-real time service,wherein the information in the signaling information table includes an available_on_internet field indicating whether or not the files of the content are available over an internet connection, and a first content identifier identifying the content,wherein the information in the FDT includes a content location attribute indicating uniform resource locator (URL) information for the files of the content when the files are available over the internet connection, and a second content identifier identifying the content,wherein the first content identifier is further used to link the information in the signaling information table to files in the FDT associated with the content for gathering the files belonging to the content, andwherein the broadcast receiver matches a value of the first content identifier in the signaling information table with a value of the second content identifier of the files listed in the FDT to identify the content to which the files belong, anddownloading, at a handler of the broadcast receiver, the files belonging to the content identified by the first content identifier through an internet based on the URL information.

Abstract
A method of processing a non-real time service of a broadcast receiver, which receives and processes a service being transmitted in non-real time, and a broadcast receiver are disclosed. Herein, the method of processing a non-real time service of a broadcast receiver includes receiving a signaling information table including additional information on contents configuring a non-real time service and a content identifier for each content, acquiring and storing the additional information on contents and the content identifier for each content from the signaling information table, when a non-real time specific service guide is requested from a real-time specific service guide screen, configuring the non-real time specific service guide based upon the stored additional information and content identifier of the stored contents, thereby displaying a non-real time specific service guide screen, and performing a playback or download scheduling function on the content selected from the non-real time specific service guide screen.
