Method for processing additional information related to an announced service or content in an NRT service and a broadcast receiver
First Claim
1. A method of transmitting a broadcast signal for a Non Real Time (NRT) service, the method comprising:
- generating the broadcast signal including the NRT service and signaling data including an NRT Information Table (NRT-IT), the NRT Information Table describing one or more content items and signaling NRT service, signaling data further including a Service Map Table (SMT) containing service-level attributes for the NRT broadcasting, wherein the SMT includes information used as a linkage to the NRT-IT; and
transmitting the NRT service via a broadcast channel and the signaling data via a Service Signaling Channel (SSC) with a specific IP address and UDP port number, wherein, the NRT service is delivered within IP packets, wherein the IP packets are carried in MPEG-2 Transport Stream using Digital Storage Media Command and Control (DSM-CC) Addressable Section format, wherein the SMT includes a descriptor providing a reference to an image file in a File Delivery over Unidirectional Transport (FLUTE) file delivery sessions that is used as a service or content icon, wherein the image file containing an icon image and the reference corresponds to a File Delivery Table (FDT) content linkage tag of the image file, wherein each of FLUTE file delivery sessions includes one or more FLUTE channels, and wherein all of the FLUTE channels have a same IP address and consecutively numbered UDP ports signaled with a single component descriptor in the SMT,wherein the NRT Information Table includes linkage information matched with one or more files in one of FLUTE file delivery sessions.

Abstract
A method of processing additional information related to an announced service or content in a Non-Real Time (NRT) service and the broadcast receiver are disclosed herein. A method of providing a Non-Real Time (NRT) service in a broadcasting receiver includes receiving a service map table (SMT) and a first descriptor through a service signaling channel, identifying an image identifier and an image type of an image for an NRT service based upon the first descriptor, receiving the image via a flute session and displaying the image when corresponding service is played, wherein the image is logo or icon data for the NRT service. The method may further include connecting a service signaling channel, parsing the received SMT and the first descriptor, determining whether a service is the NRT service based upon the parsed SMT and storing the received image.
