1. A method for controlling transmit power of a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) comprising:
- determining a transmit power spectral density, wherein the transmit power spectral density comprises a combination of an open loop uplink (UL) power control (PC) component, a closed loop PC component and a delta factor related to an offset value, wherein the open loop UL PC component is based on a pathloss measurement, wherein the closed loop PC component comprises a correction factor, and wherein the offset value is related to a modulation coding set (MCS);
determining a transmit power based on the determined transmit power spectral density and a number of assigned resource blocks (RBs); and
applying a minimum of a maximum transmit power level and the transmit power.
