Systems and methods to aggregate demand
First Claim
1. A computer-implemented method, comprising:
- processing, in a computing apparatus, a plurality of transactions, each of the transactions being processed to make a payment from an issuer to an acquirer via a transaction handler in response to an account identifier of a customer, as issued by the issuer, being submitted by a merchant to the acquirer, the issuer to make the payment on behalf of the customer, the acquirer to receive the payment on behalf of the merchant;
identifying, by the computing apparatus, a set of transactions within the plurality of transactions, wherein each transaction in the set is required to satisfy a predefined purchase requirement to be included in the set;
determining, by the computing apparatus, whether the set of transactions of a plurality of customers satisfies an aggregated purchase requirement; and
in response to a determination that the set of transactions of a plurality of customers satisfies the aggregated purchase requirement, providing by the computing apparatus a predefined benefit to the set of transactions.

Abstract
In one aspect, a computing apparatus includes: a data warehouse to store data associating a plurality of account identifiers with an offer having a predefined purchase requirement and an aggregated purchase requirement for a benefit; and a transaction handler configured to process a plurality of transactions. The transaction handler is further configured to determine whether each of the plurality of transactions satisfies a predefined purchase requirement, identify a set of transactions each satisfying the predefined purchase requirement, and determine whether the set of transactions satisfies an aggregated purchase requirement for the benefit. In one example, the transaction handler is configured to provide the benefit via statement credits when the set of transactions satisfies the aggregated purchase requirement.

15. A computer-implemented method, comprising:
-
registering, via a computing apparatus, a set of intended purchases of a plurality of customers, wherein each of the intended purchases satisfies a predefined purchase requirement; determining, by the computing apparatus, whether the set of intended purchases of the plurality of customers satisfies an aggregated purchase requirement; and in response to a determination that the set of intended purchases of the plurality of customers satisfies the aggregated purchase requirement, processing payment transactions by the computing apparatus for the set of intended purchases, wherein the payment transactions are not processed if the set of intended purchases does not satisfy the aggregated purchase requirement; and
wherein each of the transactions is processed to make a payment from an issuer to an acquirer via a transaction handler using an account identifier of a customer as issued by the issuer, the issuer is to make the payment on behalf of the customer, and the acquirer is to receive the payment on behalf of a merchant. - View Dependent Claims (16, 17, 18, 19)
