1. A wearable apparatus for monitoring and reporting the physical activity of an individual, comprising:
- a) a first sensor that continuously measures the resistance of said individual'"'"'s skin to an electric current;
b) a second sensor that continuously measures a motion-related parameter of said individual;
c) a processing unit that receives said continuously measured resistance of said individual'"'"'s skin to an electric current and said continuously measured motion-related parameter to derive data about the physical activity of said individual, and that generates feedback to said individual wherein said feedback is based on said data about the physical activity of said individual, wherein said feedback relates to at least one of the taking of medication, the engaging in a particular activity, the ingestion of a food or water, and the occurrence of a physiological condition;
d) an output facility in electronic communication with said processing unit to provide said feedback to said individual; and
e) a housing, wherein at least one of said first sensor and said second sensor are entirely supported by or entirely located within said housing.

Abstract
The invention is a wireless communications device, such as a cellular telephone, having sensors to generate data indicative of a physiological or contextual parameters of a user. A processor on the wireless communications device is adapted derive physiological state information of the user from the contextual or physiological parameters. The apparatus may include a central monitoring unit remote from the sensors for storing data and transmitting data to a recipient.
