First Claim
1. A slot machine comprising:
- a housing;
a plurality of input devices supported by the housing, said plurality of input devices including;
(i) an acceptor of a first physical item associated with a first monetary value,(ii) a validator configured to identify the first physical item, and(iii) a cashout device configured to receive an input to cause an initiation of a payout associated with a credit balance;
at least one display device supported by the housing;
at least one processor; and
at least one memory device which stores a plurality of instructions, which when executed by the at least one processor, cause the at least one processor to operate with the plurality of input devices and the at least one display device to;
(a) receive a wager on a play of a game,(b) upon receiving the wager, randomly generate one of a plurality of different numbers for the play of the game,(c) after the random generation of the number, access a database that includes each of the plurality of different numbers, each different number being preassociated with one of a plurality of different audio/video segments and one of a plurality of different game outcomes, the audio/video segments produced for a purpose other than for inclusion on the gaming device,(d) regardless of any player input and prior to displaying any game outcome for the play of the game, determine which audio/video segment and which game outcome are to be displayed based on said audio/video segment and said game outcome each being preassociated with the randomly generated number,(e) for the play of the game, display;
(i) the determined audio/video segment, and(ii) the determined game outcome,(f) determine any award associated with the determined game outcome; and
(g) for the play of the game, display any determined award associated with the determined game outcome.

Abstract
The present disclosure generally includes a gaming system which: receives a wager, upon receiving the wager, randomly generates one of a plurality of different numbers, after the random generation of the number, accesses a database that includes each of the plurality of different numbers, each different number being preassociated with one of a plurality of different audio/video segments and one of a plurality of different game results, the audio/video segments produced for a purpose other than for inclusion on the gaming device, determines which audio/video segment and game result are preassociated with the randomly generated number regardless of any player input, displays the determined audio/video output segment and the determined game result, and determines an outcome value based on the determined game result.

6. A non-transitory computer readable medium including a plurality of instructions, which when executed by at least one processor of a slot machine, cause the at least one processor to:
-
(a) upon receiving a wager, deducted from a credit balance, randomly generate one of a plurality of different numbers for a play of a game, said credit balance being; (i) increasable via; (A) an acceptor of a first physical item associated with a first monetary value, and (B) a validator configured to identify the first physical item, and (ii) decreasable via a cashout device configured to receive an input to cause an initiation of a payout associated with the credit balance; (b) after the random generation of the number, access a database that includes each of the plurality of different numbers, each different number being preassociated with one of a plurality of different audio/video segments and one of a plurality of different game outcomes, the audio/video segments produced for a purpose other than for inclusion on the gaming device; (c) regardless of any player input and prior to displaying any game outcome for the play of the game, determine which audio/video segment and which game outcome are to be displayed based on said audio/video segment and said game outcome each being preassociated with the randomly generated number; (d) for the play of the game, cause at least one display device to display; (i) the determined audio/video segment, and (ii) the determined game outcome; (e) determine any award associated with the determined game outcome; and (f) for the play of the game, cause the at least one display device to display any determined award associated with the determined game outcome. - View Dependent Claims (7, 8, 9, 10)
