1. A method in a location services, LCS, client of a wireless communication system for positioning of an LCS target, the positioning being managed by an LCS server interacting with the LCS client for the positioning of the LCS target, the method comprising:
- receiving information relating to a first predefined geographical area from the LCS server, wherein it has been determined that a probability that the LCS target is located within the first predefined geographical area is below a threshold, andadjusting a position of the LCS target based on the received information and the probability that the LCS target is not within the first predefined graphical area, andwherein the first predefined geographical area is within a second larger predefined geographical area, the LCS target is more likely than not to be located within the second larger predefined geographical area that does not include the first predefined geographical area.

Abstract
A method in an LCS server of a wireless communication system is provided for positioning of an LCS target. Information is obtained relating to a first predefined geographical area, where it has been determined that a probability that the LCS target is located within the first predefined geographical area is below a threshold. A request is received for a positioning of the LCS target and the obtained information relating to the first predefined geographical area is used for the positioning of the LCS target.

an LCS server and an LCS client for managing the positioning of the LCS target, the LCS server being configured to; obtain information relating to a first predefined geographical area, wherein it has been determined that a probability that the LCS target is located within the first predefined geographical area is below a threshold, receive a request for a positioning of the LCS target, and send the information relating to the first predefined geographical area to the LCS client, and the LCS client being configured to; receive the information relating to the first predefined geographical area from the LCS server, wherein it has been determined that a probability that the LCS target is located within the first predefined geographical area is below a threshold, and adjust a position of the LCS target based on the received information and the probability that the LCS target is not within the first predefined graphical area, and wherein the first predefined geographical area is within a second larger predefined geographical area, the LCS target being more likely than not to be located within the second larger predefined geographical area that does not include the first predefined geographical area. - View Dependent Claims (16)
