1. A vascular device, comprising:

  • a proximal section having a longitudinal axis and being radially expandable from a collapsed state to an expanded state, the proximal section having a first waist comprising a radially largest region of the proximal section when in the expanded state;

    an intermediate section coupled to a distal end of the proximal section;

    a distal section coupled to a distal end of the intermediate section, the distal section being radially expandable from a collapsed state to an expanded state, the distal section comprising a second waist, the second waist comprising a radially largest region of the distal section when the distal section is in its expanded state;

    said distal section terminating distally in a distal end portion;

    wherein the distal section comprises;

    (i) a plurality of first proximal strut portions,(ii) a plurality of first distal strut portions extending proximally from the second waist, and(iii) a plurality of first sub-struts having first and second ends, wherein every one of the first proximal strut portions, extending distally from the intermediate section, divides into the first ends of two of said plurality of first sub-struts, with the second ends of those two of said plurality of first sub-struts extending and connecting, respectively, to two different first distal strut portions,(iv) a plurality of second distal strut portions extending proximally from the distal end portion of the distal section,(v) a plurality of second proximal strut portions,(vi) a plurality of second sub-struts having first and second ends, wherein every one of the second proximal strut portion connects to a respective one of the first distal strut portions at the second waist and extends distally from the second waist, divides into the first ends of two of said plurality of second sub-struts, with the second ends of those two of said plurality of second sub-struts extending and connecting, respectively, to two different second distal strut portions.
