1. A method for treating a wound on a subject comprising:
- applying a composition to said wound comprising an isolated water soluble cytoplasmic fraction of salmon eggs comprising protein and messenger ribonucleic acid, wherein the protein content of said cytoplasmic fraction is about 100 to 380 mg/ml and a lipid component from a different source than said salmon eggs to the skin of said subject, wherein said application results in an effect selected from the group consisting of decreasing new epithelium thickness and decreasing newly formed epithelium.
