1. A light-emitting system comprising:
- a first power input terminal and a second power input terminal for receiving an external power input to the light-emitting system;
an insulating substrate;
a first light-emitting-diode string formed on the insulating substrate comprising at least three light-emitting diodes placed sequentially in a first direction to allow a current flow through the at least three light-emitting diodes of the first light-emitting-diode string generally in the first direction;
a second light-emitting-diode string formed on the insulating substrate comprising at least three light-emitting diodes placed sequentially in a second direction to allow a current flow through the at least three light-emitting diodes of the second light-emitting-diode string generally in the second direction; and
a third light-emitting-diode string comprising at least three light-emitting diodes placed sequentially in a third direction to allow a current flow through the at least three light-emitting diodes of the third light-emitting-diode string generally in the third direction;
wherein the first light-emitting-diode string, the second light-emitting-diode string and the third light-emitting-diode string are serially coupled between the first power input terminal and the second power input terminal, and the first direction is substantially perpendicular to the second direction, wherein the light-emitting diodes in the same string are separated from one another and electrically connected to one another through a plurality of conductors, and the second light-emitting-diode string and the third light-emitting-diode string are arranged in a non-parallel manner.

an insulating substrate; a first power input terminal and a second power input terminal for receiving an external power input to the light-emitting system formed on the insulating substrate; a first light-emitting-diode string formed on the insulating substrate comprising at least three light-emitting diodes arranged in a first direction to allow a current flow through the at least three light-emitting diodes of the first light-emitting-diode string generally in the first direction; a second light-emitting-diode string formed on the insulating substrate comprising at least three light-emitting diodes arranged in a second direction to allow a current flow through the at least three light-emitting diodes of the second light-emitting-diode string generally in the second direction; and a third light-emitting-diode string comprising at least three light-emitting diodes arranged in a third direction to allow a current flow through the at least three light-emitting diodes of the first light-emitting-diode string generally in the third direction, wherein the first light-emitting-diode string, the second light-emitting-diode string and the third light-emitting-diode string are serially coupled between the first power input terminal and the second power input terminal, and the first light-emitting-diode string and the second light-emitting-diode string are arranged in non-parallel directions, and the second light-emitting-diode string and the third light-emitting-diode string are arranged in non-parallel directions, wherein the light-emitting diodes in the same string are separated from one another and electrically connected to one another through a plurality of conductors. - View Dependent Claims (7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12)
