1. A computer-implemented method, comprising:

  • recognizing a hold input on a first screen of a multi-screen system, the hold input being recognized when held in place on the first screen and proximate an edge of a journal page that is displayed on the first screen, the hold input including a slide motion input from a corner of the journal page on the first screen towards a center of the journal page, the slide motion input recognized as a progression of motion to initiate the hold input, and the slide motion input determined to bookmark the journal page at the corner;

    recognizing a motion input on a second screen of the multi-screen system, the motion input being recognized while the hold input remains in place on the first screen;

    determining a bookmark hold gesture from a combination of the recognized hold and motion inputs, the bookmark hold gesture effective to temporarily bookmark the journal page at a location of the hold input on the first screen;

    recognizing that the hold input is lifted from the first screen;

    flipping back to display the journal page on the first screen; and

    discarding the temporary bookmark.
