1. A method of receiving Acknowledgement/Negative Acknowledgement (ACK/NACK) signals in a multiple input multiple output (MIMO) mobile communication system, the method comprising:

  • transmitting a plurality of data blocks by using one or more Resource Blocks (RBs), wherein the plurality of data blocks are converted into respective codewords which are mapped to layers for MIMO transmission;

    determining resource indexes of ACK/NACK signals, which correspond to the plurality of data blocks, respectively; and

    receiving the ACK/NACK signals by using the resource indexes,wherein a resource index of the ACK/NACK signal corresponding to a first data block of the plurality of data blocks is determined using β

    ×

    IRB,wherein a resource index of the ACK/NACK signal corresponding to a second data block of the plurality of data blocks is determined using α

    ×

    IRB, andwherein α

    is a constant other than 0, β

    is a constant other than 0, and IRB is the lowest RB index of one or more RB indexes corresponding to the one or more RBs.
