1. A method for performing assays of a fluid using a biosensor that comprises a first electrode set including a working electrode and a counter electrode;

  • a working electrode terminal and a first reference terminal that are connected to the working electrode;

    a counter electrode terminal and a second reference terminal that are connected to the counter electrode; and

    a second electrode set including two electrodes;

    wherein the second electrode set is disposed near the first electrode set;

    the method comprising;

    connecting the biosensor to a measurement circuit;

    performing an assay of the fluid based on a current flowing through the working electrode terminal or the counter electrode terminal;

    controlling a voltage between the working electrode and the counter electrode using a voltage detected by the first reference terminal and a voltage detected by the second reference terminal; and

    performing another assay of the fluid based on a current flowing between the two electrodes of the second electrode set.
