1. A method of communicating training sequence allocations in a cellular radio system, the method comprising:

  • allocating to a first mobile terminal a first plurality of training sequences in first plurality of timeslots in a frame, said first plurality of training sequences for communicating data between the first mobile terminal and a base station;

    allocating to a second mobile terminal a second plurality of training sequences in second plurality of timeslots in the frame, said second plurality of training sequences for communicating data between the second mobile terminal and the base station;

    generating a message indicating that the first plurality of training sequences has been allocated in the first plurality of timeslots in the frame to the first mobile terminal and the second plurality of training sequences has been allocated in the second plurality of timeslots in the frame to the second mobile terminal using a processor; and

    signaling to the first mobile terminal and the second mobile terminal the message,wherein the message is allocated during a period prior to the first plurality of timeslots and the second plurality of time slots in the frame, andwherein the message further includes an indication of allocated training sequences of a neighboring cell.
