Cartridge device for a measuring system for measuring viscoelastic characteristics of a sample liquid, a corresponding measuring system, and a corresponding method
First Claim
1. A cartridge device for a measuring system for measuring viscoelastic characteristics of a blood sample, comprising:
- a cartridge body having a plurality of blood testing cavities for receiving a portion of the blood sample, wherein the cartridge body retains a respective probe element in each of said blood testing cavities for measuring viscoelastic characteristics of the blood sample;
each respective probe element including;
a lower head portion configured to engage with the portion of the blood sample in its corresponding blood testing cavity, and an upper connector section positioned proximate an upper rim of its corresponding blood testing cavity; and
wherein the upper connector section each respective probe element is positioned to mate with a corresponding shaft of a measuring system while the respective probe element is retained within its corresponding blood testing cavity such that the respective probe element is adjustable from a first position in which the lower head portion contacts a bottom of its corresponding blood testing cavity to a predetermined working position in which the lower head portion is spaced apart from the bottom of its corresponding blood testing cavity.
