A computer program product, comprising a non-transitory computer usable medium having a computer readable program code embodied therein, the computer readable program code for navigating content on a single page, and when executed by a computer, causing the computer to perform operations comprising:
- receiving a first request from a user for content to be displayed;
retrieving the content from a database, where the content is stored in a first format;
translating the retrieved content from the first format to a second format;
cloning a template section of a hypertext markup language (HTML) page and renaming the cloned template section to identify the requested content;
adding the retrieved and translated content to the cloned and renamed template section;
pushing the cloned and renamed template section onto a navigation stack of the HTML page; and
displaying the content from the navigation stack of the HTML page.

In accordance with embodiments, there are provided mechanisms and methods for navigating content on a single page. These mechanisms and methods for navigating content on a single page can enable optimized navigation of displayed content, more efficient content processing and resource use, increased content display speed, etc.

a processor and a hardware memory in communication with the processor, the memory comprising computer readable program code that when executed by the processor, causes the processor to perform operations comprising; receiving a first request from a user for content to be displayed; retrieving the content from a database, where the content is stored in a first format; translating the retrieved content from the first format to a second format; cloning a template section of a hypertext markup language (HTML) page and renaming the cloned template section to identify the requested content; adding the retrieved and translated content to the cloned and renamed template section; pushing the cloned and renamed template section onto a navigation stack of the HTML page; and displaying the content from the navigation stack of the HTML page.
