- contacting a cell with a nanoparticle-nucleic acid hybrid structure to provide a labeled cell, wherein said nanoparticle-nucleic acid hybrid structure comprises a high density oligonucleotide-amphiphilic block co-polymer exterior assembly and a hydrophobic nanoparticle core; and
