First Claim
1. An electronic device, comprising:
- a lens;
a photoelectric conversion unit to convert light passing through the lens into an image electrical signal;
a microphone unit to generate an audio electrical signal;
one or more processors configured to;
generate moving image data from the image electrical signal, and audio data from the audio electrical signal;
control a moving image photographing operation, a still image photographing operation, and an audio recording operation;
while executing the moving image photographing operation, store the generated audio data and the generated moving image data in a moving image file;
while executing the audio recording operation in which only audio data is recorded, store the generated audio data in an audio file;
if a first input is detected while the audio data is not being recorded, start recording the audio data;
if a second input is detected while the audio data is being recorded, pause the recording of the audio data;
if a third input is detected while the recording of the audio data is paused, continue the recording of the audio data;
if only one time of a fourth input is detected while the audio data is being recorded, stop the recording of the audio data, and complete the audio file; and
if only one time of the fourth input is detected while the recording of the audio data is paused but before the audio file has been completed, complete the audio file;
wherein the if only one time of a fourth input is detected while the audio data is being recorded comprises if the fourth input has not previously been input to the device and the fourth input corresponds to a single button press.

Abstract
Provided is a method of controlling a digital photographing apparatus recording moving image data being input to a recording medium in a moving image photographing mode. The method includes creating a moving image file in the recording medium and storing the moving image data being input in the moving image file when a first signal is generated by a first button of the digital photographing apparatus pressed by a user, stopping storing of the moving image data being input when the first signal is generated by a second button of the digital photographing apparatus pressed by the user, continuing to store the moving image data being input in the moving image file when a second signal is generated by the second button pressed by the user, and stopping storing of the moving image data being input and completing the moving image file when the second signal is generated by the first button pressed by the user.
