- receiving a selection of one or more target assets to receive updates, wherein the one or more target assets are components of a virtualized computing environment;
receiving a selection of one or more upgrade packages;
determining a first set of target assets that is capable of being upgraded with at least one selected upgrade package;
determining a second set of target assets that depend on the first set of target assets; and
generating an upgrade plan for the first set of target assets and the second set of target assets; and
displaying assets in the virtualized computing environment on a stack of sets of concentric rings,wherein each set of concentric rings is on a different plane,wherein each ring in a set of concentric rings represents a different asset type ofthe virtualized computing environment,wherein each set of concentric rings has a first ring and a second ring,wherein assets displayed on the first concentric ring represents virtual machines in the virtualized computing environment, andwherein assets displayed on the second concentric ring represent host in the virtualized computing environment, andwherein each set of concentric rings represents a different upgrade level of the virtualized computing environment.
