- providing a monitoring device with a microphone, an RF transmitter and sensors to determine air quality, sound level/quality, light quality and ambient temperature near the individual;

using the accelerometer and the monitoring device to assist in determining individual sleep information and sleep behavior information;
using the microphone to record individual movement sounds detected by the accelerometer; and

receiving the individual'"'"'s movement and monitoring device information at a telemetry system that includes a database;

producing analysis information for the individual'"'"'s sleep onset and wake time, sleep interruptions, and the quality and depth of sleep that is displayed on the monitoring device.
