1. One or more non-transitory computer readable media having instructions thereon that, in response to execution by one or more processing devices of a user equipment (UE), cause the UE to:
- determine a physical layer cell identity corresponding to a cell of an evolved universal mobile telecommunication system terrestrial radio access network (E-UTRAN);
receive an indicator of a virtual cell identity via radio resource control signaling, the virtual cell identity different from a physical layer cell identity corresponding to a cell of an evolved universal mobile telecommunication system terrestrial radio access network (E-UTRAN);
receive a cyclic shift hop initialization value different from the virtual cell identity;
generate a demodulation reference signal (DM-RS) parameter based at least in part on the virtual cell identity, andgenerate a cyclic shift for a DM-RS by initializing a pseudo-random sequence generator with the cyclic shift hop initialization value.

Abstract
Disclosed embodiments may include an apparatus having one or more processors coupled to one or more computer-readable storage media. The one or more processors may be configured to transmit and/or receive channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) resource configuration information, demodulation reference signals (DM-RS), uplink sounding reference signals (SRS), and power control parameters to support uplink coordinated multi-point (CoMP) operations. Other embodiments may be disclosed.
