1. A method of information selection in a wireless communication system performed on a propagator node, comprising:

  • receiving an information datagram from one of multiple information distribution gateway (IDG) nodes in response to a first selection request signal, wherein said IDG node received said information datagram from an information repository;

    storing said information datagram in an information cache comprising multiple information datagrams, wherein each of said information datagrams is associated with one of said IDG nodes;

    receiving a second selection request signal via an access point, wherein said selection request signal identifies information requested by a selector node;

    determining whether all or a portion of said second selection request signal matches all or a portion of one of said information datagrams stored in said information cache;

    forwarding one of said information datagrams to said selector node if a full or partial match is determined between said information datagram and said requested information; and

    if said full or partial match is not determined, determining whether all or a portion of said second selection request signal matches one of multiple information tags stored in at least one routing table.
