1. A method for providing operational information concerning a bone cement, comprising:
- providing a bone cement kit comprising;
two packages having two different bone cement precursors, and at least one temperature sensor affixed to one of the packages of bone cement precursors,wherein the one of the packages having the at least one temperature sensor affixed thereto contains a first bone cement precursor having a first pre-mix temperature that changes at a slower rate compared to a second pre-mix temperature of a second bone cement precursor, andwherein the at least one temperature sensor comprises a temperature strip that provides visual indication of the sensed temperature;
mixing the bone cement precursors to provide a bone cement; and
determining a bone cement injection start time based on the first pre-mix temperature sensed by the at least one temperature sensor.

Abstract
Systems and methods for treating vertebral compression fractures are provided. A kit can include at least one body containing a bone cement precursor to be mixed with at least one other bone cement precursor to form a bone cement. The body or a package containing the body can include at least one sensor. In some embodiments the sensor can be a temperature sensor. In some methods, data from the sensor can be used to determine certain parameters related to a treatment interval involving the bone cement.

10. A method of determining a working condition of a curable bone cement, the method comprising:
-
determining a pre-mix temperature of at least one of first and second bone cement precursors, wherein one of the first and second bone cement precursors has a pre-mix temperature that changes at a slower rate compared to the other of the first and second bone cement precursors; determining an ambient temperature; mixing the first and second bone cement precursors to form a bone cement; and determining a bone cement injection start time based at least in part on an algorithm relating to said pre-mix and ambient temperatures, wherein the determining steps are accomplished at least by a temperature sensor affixed to containers or packaging of the one of the first and second bone cement precursors having the slower-changing pre-mix temperature, the temperature sensor comprising a temperature strip that provides visual indication of the sensed temperature. - View Dependent Claims (11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16)
