Patent Images

1. A method performed by software executing on a data processing device with a display, the method comprising:

  • displaying, on the display, a first set of one or more images concurrently in a display area, wherein a first image in the first set of images has a border that has a predetermined spatial relationship to a border of a second image of the first set of images;

    transitioning between the first set of images and a second set of one or more images, wherein the transitioning includes using an automatically generated transition that introduces a fold into the first set of images and includes;

    transforming at least a portion of the first image using a transformation that changes a position of the border of the first image on the display; and

    transforming at least a portion of the second image so as to maintain the predetermined spatial relationship between the border of the first image and the border of the second image on the display; and

    after completing transitioning between the first set of images and the second set of images displaying the second set of images concurrently in the display area, wherein the second set of images is different from the first set of images.
