1. A method for dynamically adjusting voltage limits of a battery, the method comprising the steps of:

  • receiving voltage data from at least a plurality of battery cells of a battery;

    calculating a voltage offset for the battery using the voltage data;

    applying the voltage offset to adjust a voltage limit associated with the battery to prevent any of the battery cells in the at least a plurality of battery cells from exceeding the voltage limit;

    receiving updated voltage data from at least a subset of the at least a plurality of battery cells of the battery;

    calculating an updated voltage offset for the battery using the updated voltage data, wherein the updated voltage offset is calculated using a difference between the average voltage of the at least a plurality of battery cells and one of a lowest voltage value from the at least a plurality of battery cells and an average voltage of a battery section having the weakest average cell voltage among a plurality of battery sections within the battery; and

    applying the updated voltage offset after applying the voltage offset to adjust the voltage limit associated with the battery to prevent any of the battery cells in the at least a plurality of battery cells from exceeding the voltage limit.
