1. A surface cleaning apparatus comprising:

  • (a) a cyclone chamber having an upper end having an upper end wall, a lower end having a lower end wall and a lower openable end, an air inlet in the lower end, an air outlet, a dirt outlet in the upper end and a sidewall, wherein the sidewall and the lower end wall meet at a juncture having a curved juncture surface, and the curved juncture surface extends at an angle to the lower end wall and the sidewall, and wherein the lower openable end comprises the lower end wall and at least a portion of the juncture surface;

    (b) a dirt collection chamber in communication with the dirt outlet and positioned exterior to the cyclone chamber; and

    ,(c) an air flow path extending from a dirty air inlet to a clean air outlet and including a suction motor and the cyclone chamber.
