1. A method of inspecting a cured-in-place-pipe (CIPP) liner, comprising the steps of:

  • a) deploying a robotic unit into a CIPP liner after curing in a host pipe; and

    b) inspecting a mechanical property along a length and around a circumference of the CIPP liner using an optical sensor of said robotic unit by;

    i) measuring an optical property along said length and said circumference of said CIPP liner using said optical sensor of said robotic unit;

    ii) determining said mechanical property along said length and said circumference of said CIPP liner using said optical property measured along said length and said circumference of said CIPP liner and a predetermined correlation between said optical property and said mechanical property; and

    iii) comparing said determined mechanical property along said length and said circumference of said CIPP liner with an allowable range for said mechanical property.
