1. A method of constraining touch contact one or more probable points of touch contact, based on recorded locations of past touch contact, and increasing the sensitivity of touch detection for at least one of the one or more probable points of touch contact on a display screen, wherein the display screen includes (i) a plurality of display pixels operable for determining touch contact with the display, wherein each display pixel is wired in a circuit comprising the display pixel coupled to a conductor to form a pixel plate capacitor, a stabilizing capacitor in parallel with the pixel plate capacitor, and a transistor operable for electrically decoupling the stabilizing capacitor from the conductor;

  • and an AC observer for observing display pixel responses to applied AC signals, the responses used to determine a point of touch contact;

    comprising the acts of;

    a. determining, using a processor and at least one previously recorded touch contact point with the display screen stored in a memory, a trajectory of past touch contact points;

    b. determining, using the processor, a property of the trajectory of past touch contact points;

    c. determining, using the processor, one or more likely next touch contact points on the display screen using the property of the trajectory of past touch contact points;

    d. while scanning the one or more likely next touch contact points on the display screen for touch contact, using the transistor to decouple, for at least one display pixel corresponding to the one or more likely next touch contact points on the display screen, the at least one display pixel'"'"'s stabilizing capacitor from the at least one display pixel'"'"'s conductor;

    e. observing, using the AC observer, the response of the at least one display pixel to an applied AC signal to determine whether the at least one display pixel corresponds to a point of ouch contact on the display screen.
