1. A radio unit configured to connect to a baseband processing unit, the radio unit comprising:
- a transformation unit configured to obtain uplink time domain signal data and transform the uplink time domain signal data into uplink frequency domain signal data;
a domain determination unit configured to determine compression mode of uplink signal data and generate a mode notification signal indicating the compression mode the uplink data, the compression mode comprising time domain compression mode and frequency domain compression mode; and
a compression unit disposed downstream from the transformation unit such that the transformation unit is interposed between the domain determination unit and the compression unit, the compression unit configured to compress the uplink frequency domain signal data by using a compression algorithm in response to the mode notification signal,wherein the compression unit generates a feedback signal indicating an actual compression ratio to the domain determination unit, and wherein the domain determination unit dynamically controls the compression mode based on the actual compression mode indicated by the feedback signal.
