1. A method for wireless communications, comprising:

  • determining a time division duplex (TDD) configuration of a non-serving network, the TDD configuration being received at a user equipment (UE) from a serving network or read by the UE from the non-serving network during a tune-away period of the UE;

    measuring downlink quality for a first set of subframes without interference;

    measuring downlink quality for a second set of subframes with interference, the first set of subframes and the second set of subframes being determined based on the TDD configuration of the non-serving network;

    detecting interference from the non-serving network based at least in part on the downlink quality measured from the first set of subframes and the downlink quality measured from the second set of subframes; and

    signaling the detected interference to an eNodeB when the UE fails to mitigate the detected interference.
