1. A user interface for operating a portable oxygen concentrator that includes a power supply and for deactivating the portable medical device, comprising:
- a touch screen; and
a controller coupled to the touch screen, the controller configured to(a) display a first icon in an initial location on the touch screen,(b) detect a user touching the first icon,(c) display a second icon on the touch screen after the user has touched the first icon, wherein the second icon is displayed in a different location than the initial location, regardless of where on the touch screen the first icon has been displayed,(d) detect a user touching the second icon, and(e) deactivate the portable oxygen concentrator responsive to detection of the second icon being touched by suspending a supply of power from the power supply to the portable oxygen concentrator.
