1. A method for determining a concentration of an analyte in a body fluid of a patient, comprising the steps of:

  • transporting a body fluid sample of the patient into a sample chamber of a test strip, the sample chamber comprising a working electrode and a reference electrode and/or a counter electrode, wherein the sample chamber has a volume of 1 μ

    l or less; and

    determining the concentration of the analyte in the body fluid sample by measuring the charge passed through the working electrode over a period of time of within 1 minute after transporting the body fluid.
