1. A system for balancing current supplied by a plurality of regulators coupled to a load, the system comprising:
- a current sensor operable to measure an average load current supplied by each regulator;
a current share circuit operable to determine an overall average current to be shared by the plurality of regulators, and compare each average load current with the overall average current to be shared by the plurality of regulators; and
a digital compensator operable to adjust an output current of one or more of the plurality of regulators so that the plurality of regulators supply the same current to the load.

A system for balancing current supplied by a plurality of regulators coupled to a load includes circuitry operable to measure an average load current supplied by each regulator, determine an overall average current to be shared by the plurality of regulators, and compare each average load current with the overall average current to be shared by the plurality of regulators. The circuitry included in the system is also operable to adjust an output current of one or more of the plurality of regulators so that the plurality of regulators supply the same current to the load.

a capacitor having a first plate and a second plate spaced apart from the first plate; a first regulator coupled to the load and having an input coupled to the first plate of the capacitor and an output coupled to the second plate of the capacitor; a second regulator coupled to the load and having an input coupled to the first plate of the capacitor and an output coupled to the second plate of the capacitor; a current share circuit operable to balance a current provided by the first regulator to the load and a current provided by the second regulator to the load, based on a comparison of an overall average current value with the current provided by each regulator, and determine the overall average current value at the first plate of the capacitor. - View Dependent Claims (14, 15)
