1. A method of controlling a display apparatus having an audio processing unit, the method comprising:

  • in response to the display apparatus being in a user mode, displaying a Graphical User Interface (GUI) pop up menu to receive a first user input for a user to select a stand installation or a wall-mount installation only if

         1) the display apparatus is turned on for a first time after a power plug of the display apparatus is removed from power and is connected to the power again and

         2) if the user requests a GUI regarding audio for a first time by selecting an audio menu GUI for the first time;

    displaying, automatically without any user input, an initialization guide screen in response to the display apparatus being in a factory mode and turned on for a first time after being shipped out of a factory;

    displaying a self-diagnosis guide screen including an installation type input menu to adjust or change a sound quality of the display apparatus in response to the display apparatus being in a self-diagnosis mode;

    setting an audio output configuration according to at least one audio output configuration setting value designated for the stand installation or the wall-mount installation selected via the GUI pop up menu;

    if the stand installation is selected through the GUI pop up menu, controlling the audio processing unit to process an audio signal according to an audio configuration for the stand installation; and

    if the wall-mount installation is selected through the GUI pop up menu, controlling the audio processing unit to process an audio signal according to an audio configuration for the wall-mount installation,wherein the GUI pop up menu further comprises a menu item to receive a user input to select a ceiling-mount installation.
