1. A charging device, comprising:

  • an inductive charging assembly, comprising;

    a power receiver sub-assembly that is disposed inside a sterile enclosure and electrically coupled to at least one rechargeable battery that is selectively sealed inside the sterile enclosure, wherein the sterile enclosure is penetrable by a sterilizing agent such that the at least one rechargeable battery is sterilizable while sealed inside the sterile enclosure, wherein the power receiver sub-assembly;

    receives electrical power inductively from outside the sterile enclosure; and

    charges the at least one rechargeable battery electrically coupled to the power receiver sub-assembly; and

    a power supply that is disposed outside the sterile enclosure and supplies power inductively to the power receiver sub-assembly through the sterile enclosure in a non-structurally breaching manner.
