System and method for concept development
First Claim
1. A computer implemented method, comprising:
- providing, by a processor, a framework for building a visual representation of a product concept, the visual representation including one or more of a textual component or a graphical component;
receiving, by the processor, a designation of a first portion of at least one of the textual component or the graphical component as a dynamic element, a second portion of the at least one of the textual component or the graphical component not being designated as the dynamic element;
associating, by the processor, the dynamic element with variants;
receiving, by the processor, a selection of a first variant of the variants, the variants including the first variant, a second variant, and a third variant;
in response to the selection, displaying, by a processor, a constraint indicator adjacent the second variant, the constraint indicator visually representing an undesirability of displaying the first variant and the second variant within a same visual representation;
in response to receiving the selection, displaying, by the processor, an allowability indicator immediately adjacent the third variant, the allowability indicator visually representing a desirability of displaying the first variant and the third variant within the same visual representation; and
generating, by the processor, a first instantiation of the visual representation including the first variant as the dynamic element.

Abstract
A computer implemented method, system, and computer program product include one or more processors providing a framework for building a visual representation of a product concept, the visual representation including one or more of a textual component and a graphical component; one or more processors receiving a designation of an element within at least one of the textual component and the graphical components as a dynamic element; one or more processors associating the dynamic element with a variant list including one or more element variants; one or more processors receiving a selection of a first element variant from the variant list; and one or more processors generating a first instantiation of the visual representation including the first element variant as the dynamic element.

15. A computer program product residing on a storage disk having a plurality of instructions stored thereon which, when executed by a processor, cause the processor to perform operations comprising:
-
providing a framework for building a visual representation of a product concept, the visual representation including one or more of a textual component or a graphical component; receiving a designation of a first portion of at least one of the textual component or the graphical component as a dynamic element, a second portion of the at least one of the textual component or the graphical component not being designated as the dynamic element; associating the dynamic element with variants; receiving a selection of a first variant of the variants, the variants including the first variant, a second variant, and a third variant; in response to the selection, displaying a constraint indicator adjacent the second variant, the constraint indicator visually representing an undesirability of displaying the first variant and the second variant within a same visual representation; in response to receiving the selection, displaying an allowability indicator immediately adjacent the third variant, the allowability indicator visually representing a desirability of displaying the first variant and the third variant within the same visual representation; and generating a first instantiation of the visual representation including the first variant as the dynamic element. - View Dependent Claims (16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21)
