1. A system to aid a visually impaired musician to learn musical notation, the system including:

  • a microprocessor with a memory adapted to store the musical notation; and

    a plurality of transducers operatively attached to the microprocessor, wherein the transducers are in contact with a part of the body of the visually impaired musician, wherein responsive to the musical notation, the microprocessor is configured to signal the transducers to provide a tactile sensation to the part of the body of the visually impaired musician;

    wherein a musical note is represented and identified by producing a tactile sensation by a particular transducer at a specific location on a part of the body of the visually impaired musician distinct from the location on the part of the body of other transducers of the plurality of transducers.
