Abstract

The present disclosure relates to a camera module including a fixture; a moving part centrally coupled with a lens and arranged to move relative to the fixture; three or more magnets arranged at a periphery of the moving part; and three or more coils arranged from an inner surface of the fixture to areas opposite to the three or more magnets, where each of the coils independently receives a control signal so that the moving part moves to a height direction and tilted relative to a central axis of the moving part, whereby a lens can be axially moved and tilted at the same time using arrangement of a single set of coils and magnets.

Claims

1. A camera module comprising:

a printed circuit board;

an image sensor disposed on the printed circuit board;

a housing including a first housing and a second housing coupled to the first housing;

a mover disposed inside the housing and including a bobbin, a magnet, and a lens, wherein the magnet includes a first magnet, a second magnet, a third magnet and a fourth magnet fixed to the mover;

a coil including a first coil, a second coil, a third coil, and a fourth coil disposed to face the first magnet, the second magnet, the third magnet, and the fourth magnet respectively; and

an elastic member supporting the mover;

wherein the mover is stationary at an initial position and a gap is formed between a bottom surface of the mover and an upper surface of the first housing;

wherein the housing includes a terminal unit configured such that a driving signal is applied from the printed circuit board to any one of the first to fourth coils via the terminal unit;

wherein the housing further includes a connector, and wherein opposite tails of each coil are soldered to the terminal unit;

wherein one end of the terminal unit is connected to the printed circuit board and the other end of the terminal unit is partially exposed at the connector; and

wherein the first housing includes terminal insertion holes through which the terminal unit penetrates.

2. The camera module of claim 1, wherein the printed circuit board is electrically connected to the coil.

3. The camera module of claim 1, wherein a polarity of an upper side of each magnet is opposite to that of a lower side of each magnet.

4. The camera module of claim 1, wherein a center line of each coil is positioned to be higher than a center line of each magnet.

5. The camera module of claim 1, wherein a center line of each coil is positioned to be lower than that of each magnet.

6. The camera module of claim 1, wherein the driving signal includes a first signal and a second signal;

wherein the first signal is applied to the first coil and the third coil facing the first coil, and the second signal is applied to the second coil and the fourth coil facing the second coil; and

wherein the first signal is the same as the second signal.

7. The camera module of claim 1, wherein the driving signal includes a first signal and a second signal;

wherein the first signal is applied to the first coil and the third coil facing the first coil, and the second signal is applied to the second coil and the fourth coil facing the second coil; and

wherein the first signal is greater or smaller than the second signal.

8. The camera module of claim 1, wherein the coil is disposed on a side surface of the housing.

9. The camera module of claim 1, wherein the first, second, third, and fourth magnets are disposed within the camera module such that they perform a stabilization function.

10. The camera module of claim 9, wherein performing the stabilization function comprises tilting the mover.

11. A camera module comprising:

a printed circuit board;

an image sensor disposed on the printed circuit board;

a housing including a base and a cover;

a mover disposed inside the housing and including a bobbin, a magnet, and a lens, wherein the magnet includes a first magnet, a second magnet, a third magnet, and a fourth magnet fixed to the mover;

a coil including a first coil, a second coil, a third coil, and a fourth coil disposed to face the first magnet, the second magnet, the third magnet, and the fourth magnet, respectively;

an elastic member supporting the mover; and

a terminal configured such that a driving signal is applied from the printed circuit board to any one of the first to fourth coils via the terminal;

wherein the mover is stationary at an initial position and a gap is formed between a bottom surface of the mover and an upper surface of the base;

wherein the terminal is disposed on the base; and

wherein the driving signal includes a first signal and a second signal, and the first signal is applied to the first coil and the third coil facing the first coil, and the second signal is applied to the second coil and the fourth coil facing the second coil.

14. The camera module of claim 11, wherein the coil is a fixed part and the magnet is a moving part when current is applied to the coil.

15. The camera module of claim 11, wherein the coil takes a shape of a track.

16. The camera module of claim 11, wherein the first, second, third, and fourth magnets are disposed within the camera module to perform an optical image stabilization function.

17. The camera module of claim 11, wherein the cover includes an upper plate and four lateral plates, and the first, second, third, and fourth magnets are disposed in parallel to each of the four lateral plates, respectively.

26. The camera module of claim 11, wherein the initial position is a position of the mover when no current is applied to the coil.

28. The camera module of claim 11, wherein each of the magnets includes a first surface facing the coil, and the first surface includes both N polarity and S polarity.

30. The camera module of claim 11, wherein the first signal is applied to the first coil and the third coil, respectively, and the second signal is applied to the second coil and the fourth coil, respectively.

12. A camera module comprising:

a printed circuit board;

an image sensor disposed on the printed circuit board;

a housing including a base and a cover;

a mover disposed inside the housing and including a bobbin, a magnet, and a lens, wherein the magnet includes a first magnet, a second magnet, a third magnet, and a fourth magnet fixed to the mover;

a coil including a first coil, a second coil, a third coil, and a fourth coil disposed to face the first magnet, the second magnet, the third magnet, and the fourth magnet, respectively;

an elastic member supporting the mover; and

a plurality of terminals configured such that a driving signal is applied from the printed circuit board to the first to fourth coils via the plurality of terminals;

wherein the mover is stationary at an initial position and a gap is formed between a bottom surface of the mover and an upper surface of the base;

wherein the plurality of terminals are disposed on the base; and

wherein the driving signal includes a third signal and a fourth signal, and the third signal is applied to the first coil and the second coil located adjacent to the first coil, and the fourth signal is applied to the third coil and the fourth coil located adjacent to the third coil.

13. A lens driving apparatus comprising:

a housing including a base and a cover coupled to the base;

a mover disposed inside the housing and including a bobbin and a magnet, wherein the magnet includes a first magnet, a second magnet, a third magnet, and a fourth magnet fixed to the mover;

a coil including a first coil, a second coil, a third coil, and a fourth coil disposed to face the first magnet, the second magnet, the third magnet, and the fourth magnet, respectively;

an elastic member supporting the mover; and

a terminal configured such that a driving signal is applied from a printed circuit board to any one of the first to fourth coils via the terminal;

wherein the mover is stationary at an initial position and a gap is formed between a bottom surface of the mover and an upper surface of the base;

wherein the terminal is disposed on the base; and

wherein the driving signal includes a first signal and a second signal, and the first signal is applied to the first coil and the third coil facing the first coil, and the second signal is applied to the second coil and the fourth coil facing the second coil.

18. The lens driving apparatus of claim 13, wherein the coil is a fixed part and the magnet is a moving part when current is applied to the coil.

19. The lens driving apparatus of claim 13, wherein the coil includes a shape of a track.

20. The lens driving apparatus of claim 13, wherein the first, second, third, and fourth magnets and the coil are configured to perform an optical image stabilization function.

21. The lens driving apparatus of claim 13, wherein the cover includes an upper plate and four lateral plates, and first, second, third, and fourth magnets are disposed in parallel to each of the four lateral plates, respectively.

22. The lens driving apparatus of claim 13, wherein the first signal is the same as the second signal.

23. The lens driving apparatus of claim 13, wherein the first signal is greater or smaller than the second signal.

24. The lens driving apparatus of claim 13, wherein the first, second, third, and fourth magnets are configured to perform both an optical image stabilization function and a focusing function.

25. The lens driving apparatus of claim 13, wherein the initial position is a position of the mover when no current is applied to the coil.

27. The lens driving apparatus of claim 13, wherein each of the magnets includes a first surface facing the coil, and the first surface includes both N polarity and S polarity.

29. The lens driving apparatus of claim 13, wherein the first signal is applied to the first coil and the third coil, respectively, and the second signal is applied to the second coil and the fourth coil, respectively.
