1. A device for dilating a drainage pathway of a sinus cavity, comprisingan inner guide member defining a first lumen;

  • a handle secured to a proximal end of the inner guide member;

    a sleeve member defining a second lumen, wherein the inner guide member is at least partially disposed within the second lumen and the sleeve member is moveable with respect to the inner guide member, the sleeve member having a proximal end portion comprising a pair of slots having respective detents located in each slot, wherein the location of the detents forms a proximal slot portion and a distal slot portion;

    a balloon disposed on the sleeve member;

    a rounded tip member disposed at a position that is distal to a distal tip of both the sleeve member and the inner guide member, the rounded tip member connected to a wire extending proximally through the first lumen and the second lumen and terminating in a bar positioned within the pair of slots; and

    a balloon advancement member disposed in the handle and secured to the sleeve member and moveable between a proximal position and distal position, the balloon advancement member configured to advance and retract the sleeve member along the inner guide member, wherein when the balloon advancement member is retracted to the proximal position the bar contacts with a distal portion of the distal slot portion and wherein when the balloon advancement member is advanced distally, the bar contacts with a proximal portion of the distal slot portion and wherein when the balloon advancement member is further advanced to the distal position the bar moves to the proximal slot portion.
