Combinatory score having a fitness sub-score and an athleticism sub-score
First Claim
1. A computer-implemented method comprising:
- receiving, from a pressure sensor, data representing a pressure exerted by a user'"'"'s body during an athletic movement of the user;
calculating, with a processor, from the received pressure data, a position of a body part of the user;
monitoring a form of the user by comparing, using the processor, the calculated position of the body part to a desired position for the athletic movement;
estimating with the processor, a combinatory fitness-athleticism score comprising a fitness sub-score and a separate athleticism sub-score based on the form of the user; and
providing an indication of an activity that the user can perform that will not cause injury, based upon the estimated combinatory fitness-athleticism score for the user,wherein the fitness sub-score is calculated, by the processor, using one or more of an endurance, a flexibility and a strength fitness attribute of the user, andwherein the athleticism sub-score is calculated, by the processor, using one or more of a speed, an agility, a reaction, a power and a balance athleticism attribute of the user.

Abstract
Example embodiments may relate to a system, method, apparatus, and computer readable media configured for monitoring a user performing an athletic movement and/or exercise and generating a combinatory fitness athleticism score. The score may comprise a fitness sub-score and a fitness sub-score. The athletic movement may comprise a plurality of drills configured to test a plurality of fitness attributes and/or a plurality of athleticism attributes of the user. At least one of the plurality of fitness attributes may be selected from the group consisting of: endurance, flexibility, strength and combinations thereof; and at least one of the plurality of athleticism attributes may be selected from the group consisting of: speed, agility, reaction, power, balance, and combinations thereof.

14. An apparatus configured to be worn by a user, comprising:
-
a structure configured to be worn around an appendage of a user comprising a sensor configured to capture movement data from the appendage of the user; a processor; and a non-transitory computer-readable medium comprising computer-executable instructions that when executed by a processor cause the processor to perform at least; receiving movement data captured from the sensor during an athletic movement of the user; calculating, from the received movement data, a position of a body part of the user; calculating a form of the user based on the calculated position of the body part; estimating a combinatory fitness-athleticism score comprising a fitness sub-score and a separate athleticism sub-score based on the form of the user; and providing an indication of an activity that the user can perform that will not cause injury, based upon the estimated combinatory fitness-athleticism score for the user, wherein the fitness sub-score is calculated, by the processor, using one or more of an endurance, a flexibility and a strength fitness attribute of the user, and wherein the athleticism sub-score is calculated, by the processor, using one or more of a speed, an agility, a reaction, a power and a balance athleticism attribute of the user. - View Dependent Claims (15, 16, 17, 18, 19)

20. A computer-implemented method comprising:
-
receiving motion data captured from a wrist-worn device comprising a first sensor configured to capture physical movement of a user; calculating, using a processor, from the received motion data, a position of a body part of the user; calculating, using the processor, a form of the user based on the calculated position of the body part; estimating with the processor a combinatory fitness-athleticism score comprising a fitness sub-score and a separate athleticism sub-score, and displaying the combinatory fitness-athleticism score on a display device and providing an indication of an activity that the user can perform that will not cause injury, based upon the estimated combinatory fitness-athleticism score for the user, wherein the fitness sub-score is calculated, by the processor, using one or more of an endurance, a flexibility and a strength fitness attribute of the user, and wherein the athleticism sub-score is calculated, by the processor, using one or more of a speed, an agility, a reaction, a power and a balance athleticism attribute of the user.
