- a shaft comprising a point end and a nock end, and a tapered section on said nock end, said shaft having a uniform exterior diameter between said point end and said tapered section, and said tapered section having a taper from said uniform exterior diameter terminating at said nock end of said shaft;
said shaft formed with a first axial lumen having a first diameter, a second axial lumen having a second diameter, and a transition between said first axial lumen and said second axial lumen, wherein said first axial lumen and said second axial lumen provide a pathway from said point end to said nock end through said transition; and
a non-uniform wall thickness from said point end to said nock end.

Abstract
A cylindrical carbon fiber arrow shaft formed with an increased external diameter of 0.380 inches. This arrow shaft is formed with an axial bore which has a first internal diameter throughout a substantial portion of the shaft length, and a second internal diameter throughout the fletching end of the arrow. By varying the first internal diameter and the second internal diameter standard nocks may be used without the need for any spacer or insert, standard points may be used without the need for any spacer or insert and the location of the center of gravity may be adjusted on the arrow.
