1. A method for establishing fluid communication between a first surface and a second surface of a tissue wall, the method comprising:

  • engaging the tissue wall with a conduit device such that a substantially fluid-tight seal is established between the conduit device and the tissue wall, the conduit device comprising an outer tube formed of a substantially rigid material; and

    after engaging the tissue wall with the conduit device, advancing a coring device through the outer tube of the conduit device and through the tissue wall to core an aperture in the tissue wall extending from the first surface to the second surface of the tissue wall while maintaining the substantially fluid-tight seal between the conduit device and the tissue wall.
