1. A method for calculating position of a user equipment (UE) located in an indoor, the method performed by the UE and comprising:
- transmitting, to an access point (AP), measurement information including an intensity of a signal received from the AP and feedback information including inertial sensor information of the UE;
receiving, from the AP, an estimated position of the UE and compensation factor information for inertial sensor correction, the compensation factor information including a period of ensuring reliability of inertial sensor measurement values and a predetermined compensation value corresponding to the inertial sensor information of the UE;
calculating a position of the UE using the inertial sensor during a specific time period;
if the specific time period is shorter than the period of ensuring reliability of inertial sensor measurement values, calculating an indoor position of the UE using the estimated position of the UE and the predetermined compensation value and the position calculated by the inertial sensor; and
if the specific time period is longer than the period of ensuring reliability of inertial sensor measurement values, resetting the inertial sensor.

Abstract
A method for measuring the indoor position of a UE by a network node according to an embodiment of the present invention may include: receiving, from the UE, measurement information including the intensity of a signal received from an access point (AP) and feedback information including information about a sensor configured to measure movement of the UE and sensor measurement information regarding movement of the UE, measured by the sensor; estimating the position of the UE based on the measurement information and received signal strength (RSS) from the AP, predetermined for each reference point; and calculating the indoor position of the UE by applying the information about the sensor and a sensor correction factor corresponding to the sensor measurement information to the estimated position of the UE.

a communications device; and a processor operatively connected to the communication device and configured to; transmit, to an access point (AP), measurement information including an intensity of a signal received from the AP and feedback information including inertial sensor information of the UE; receive, from the AP, an estimated position of the UE and compensation factor information for inertial sensor correction, the compensation factor information including a period of ensuring reliability of inertial sensor measurement values and a predetermined compensation value corresponding to the inertial sensor information of the UE; calculate a position of the UE using the inertial sensor during a specific time period; if the specific time period is shorter than the period of ensuring reliability of inertial sensor measurement values, calculate an indoor position of the UE using the estimated position of the UE and the predetermined compensation value and the position calculated by the inertial sensor; and if the specific time period is longer than the period of ensuring reliability of inertial sensor measurement values, resetting the inertial sensor. - View Dependent Claims (4)
