Abstract

An information processing device includes an image acquirer that acquires a shot image of a user, a registered user information holder that holds face identification data of a registered user, and a first authentication section that detects a face image of a registered user existing in the shot image by using face identification data held in the registered user information holder. The information processing device further includes a second authentication section that detects an image of an object having a predetermined positional relationship with a region of the face image detected by the first authentication section, and an information processing section that executes information processing based on detection results by the first authentication section and the second authentication section. The second authentication section uses information obtained in detection processing by the first authentication section for detection processing of the image of the object.

Claims

1. An information processing device comprising:

an image acquirer configured to acquire a shot image of a user;

a registered user information holder configured to hold face identification data of a registered user;

a first authentication section configured to detect a face image of a registered user existing in the shot image by using face identification data held in the registered user information holder;

a second authentication section configured to detect an image of an object having a predetermined positional relationship with a region of the face image detected by the first authentication section; and

an information processing section configured to execute information processing based on detection results by the first authentication section and the second authentication section,

wherein the second authentication section uses information obtained in detection processing by the first authentication section for detection processing of the image of the object.

The information processing device according to claim 1, wherein the second authentication section detects that the face image of the registered user is included in a face frame displayed on a display that displays the shot image by using the face image of the registered user detected in the shot image by the first authentication section.

The information processing device according to claim 2, wherein the second authentication section makes the face frame be displayed at a position different from a position of the face image of the registered user detected by the first authentication section in the shot image displayed on the display, and decides whether or not a request for start of the information processing by the information processing section is made by determining whether or not the registered user has moved in such a manner that an image of a face enters the face frame by detection processing of the face image in the face frame.

4. The information processing device according to claim 3, wherein the second authentication section displays, together with the face frame, information acquired by the first authentication section when the first authentication section detects the face image of the registered user.

The information processing device according to claim 1, wherein the second authentication section determines whether or not the face image of the registered user is included in a face frame displayed on a display that displays the shot image by first using face identification data held in the registered user information holder, and, if determining that the face image is not included, makes a second determination by using the face image of the registered user detected in the shot image by the first authentication section.

6. The information processing device according to claim 1, wherein the processing by the first authentication section and the processing by the second authentication section are concurrently executed at different frequencies.

The information processing device according to claim 1, wherein the second authentication section detects the image of the object by making a search only in a region that has a predetermined size and has a predetermined positional relationship with the region of the face image detected by the first authentication section.

8. The information processing device according to claim 1, wherein the second authentication section detects an image of a marker held by the registered user whose face image is detected by the first authentication section as the image of the object.

9. An information processing method executed by a information processing having a processor, the method comprising:

acquiring from an image acquirer using the processor, a shot image of a user;

reading out face identification data of a registered user stored in a storage device and detecting a face image of a registered user existing in the shot image by using the face identification data;

detecting an image of an object having a predetermined positional relationship with a region of the face image detected in the detecting the face image; and

executing information processing based on detection results by the detecting the face image and the detecting the image of the object,

wherein the detecting the image of the object includes using information obtained in detection processing in the detecting the face image for detection processing of the image of the object.

10. A non-transitory computer-readable recording medium in which a computer program for a computer is recorded, the computer program including:

acquiring a shot image of a user;

reading out face identification data of a registered user stored in a storage device and detecting a face image of a registered user existing in the shot image by using the face identification data;

detecting an image of an object having a predetermined positional relationship with a region of the face image detected in the detecting the face image; and

executing information processing based on detection results by the detecting the face image and the detecting the image of the object,

wherein the detecting the image of the object includes using information obtained in detection processing in the detecting the face image for detection processing of the image of the object.
