1. A method for inhibiting corrosion of a metal article, said method comprising:
- (a) preparing a float coat having a specific gravity of less than 1.0 g/cm3 and including a liquidus fraction of corn stillage;
(b) combining said float coat with an aqueous composition to form a treatment bath, wherein said float coat is substantially immiscible in said aqueous composition; and
(c) applying said treatment bath to the metal article.
