Abstract

A system and methods for third-party access to a network-based system for providing location-based upcoming event information are described. The location-based upcoming event information may be accessed from the network-based system by a server-side web application implemented by a third party. The server-side web application may be configured to communicate with the network-based system that provides online marketplace and ticket fulfillment services and to generate a query based upon the location of a user and other event criteria. The server-side web application may communicate the query to the network-based system and, in response, receive location-based upcoming event information which may be displayed to a user as a list and/or information on a map. The location-based upcoming event information may comprise an aggregate of ticket inventory available from multiple online marketplaces providing the user with multiple purchasing options.

Claims

1. A system comprising:

a non-transitory memory storing ticket information for a plurality of seller platforms; and

one or more hardware processors coupled to the non-transitory memory and configured to read instructions from the non-transitory memory to cause the system to perform operations comprising;

receiving a query for upcoming events from a user, wherein the query includes a location of the user derived from at least one application executed by a user device of the user and a time-based information;

determining, based on the query, at least one event at an event venue;

aggregating a number of tickets available from a plurality of different seller platforms for the at least one event at the event venue, wherein the tickets are offered by sellers for resale in a secondary market;

displaying the number of tickets available, price information, and names of the plurality of different seller platforms for the at least one event at the event venue;

displaying a map with a selectable marker indicating a geographical location of the event venue within the map; and

displaying a pop-up window over the map when the selectable marker on the map is selected by the user, wherein the pop-up window comprises the number of tickets available and price information offered by the plurality of different seller platforms for the at least one event at the event venue selected by the user.

2. The system of claim 1, wherein the operations further comprise generating the query based on an identifier associated with the location.

3. The system of claim 1, wherein the operations further comprise receiving a response to the query comprising location-based upcoming event information for a plurality of upcoming events.

The system of claim 3, wherein the operations further comprise displaying a user interface comprising the location-based upcoming event information for each of the plurality of upcoming events, wherein a number of tickets available and price information are displayed along with a name of a seller platform offering available tickets for the plurality of different seller platforms for each of the plurality of upcoming events.

5. The system of claim 3, wherein the location-based upcoming event information comprises ticket level details including section, row, and seat.

6. The system of claim 1, wherein the pop-up window includes a dynamic content customized based on the location of the user or event criteria specified by the user.

7. A non-transitory machine-readable medium having stored thereon machine-readable instructions executable to cause a machine to perform operations comprising:

receiving a query for upcoming events from a user, wherein the query includes a location of the user derived from at least one application executed by a user device of the user and a time-based information;

determining, based on the query, at least one event at an event venue;

aggregating a number of tickets available from a plurality of different seller platforms for the at least one event at the event venue, wherein the tickets are offered by sellers for resale in a secondary market;

displaying the number of tickets available, price information, and names of the plurality of different seller platforms for the at least one event at the event venue;

displaying a map with a marker indicating a geographical location of the event venue within the map; and

displaying a pop-up window over the map when the marker on the map is selected by the user, wherein the pop-up window comprises the number of tickets available and price information offered by the plurality of different seller platforms for the at least one event at the event venue selected by the user.

8. The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 7, wherein the operations further comprise determining a location of the user.

9. The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 8, wherein the operations further comprise generating the query based on an identifier associated with the location.

10. The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 8, wherein the operations further comprise receiving a response to the query comprising location-based upcoming event information for a plurality of upcoming events.

11. The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 10, wherein the operations further comprise displaying a user interface comprising the location-based upcoming event information for each of the plurality of upcoming events, wherein a number of tickets available and price information are displayed along with a name of a seller platform offering available tickets for the plurality of different seller platforms for each of the plurality of upcoming events.

12. The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 7, wherein the operations further comprise displaying a map illustrating geographic address locations of the event venue and a ticket pick-up location.

13. The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 10, wherein the response comprises dynamic content provided by a dynamic content campaign that is linked to an identifier associated with the location.

14. A method comprising:

receiving, by a hardware processor, a query for upcoming events from a user, wherein the query includes a location of the user derived from at least one application executed by a user device of the user and a time-based information;

determining, based on the query, at least one event at an event venue;

displaying, by the hardware processor, a number of tickets available, price information, and names of a plurality of seller platforms offering available tickets for at least one event at the event venue;

displaying, by the hardware processor, a map with a marker indicating a geographical location of the event venue within the map; and

displaying, by the hardware processor, a pop-up window over the map when the marker on the map is selected by the user, wherein the pop-up window comprises a number of tickets available and price information offered by a plurality of different seller platforms for the at least one event at the event venue selected by the user, wherein the tickets, the map, and the pop-up window are displayed on a third-party web page in coordination with a server-side web application associated with the third-party web page.

15. The method of claim 14, further comprising determining a location of the user.

16. The method of claim 15, further comprising generating the query based on an identifier associated with the location.

17. The method of claim 15, further comprising receiving a response to the query comprising location-based upcoming event information for a plurality of upcoming events.

18. The method of claim 17, further comprising displaying a user interface comprising the location-based upcoming event information for each of the plurality of upcoming events, wherein a number of tickets available and price information are displayed along with a name of a seller platform offering available tickets for the plurality of different seller platforms for each of the plurality of upcoming events.

19. The method of claim 14, further comprising displaying a map illustrating geographic address locations of the event venue and a ticket pick-up location.

20. The method of claim 17, wherein the response comprises dynamic content provided by a dynamic content campaign that is linked to an identifier associated with the location.
