1. A method implemented by a destination device comprising:

  • receiving, by the destination device, one or more signals from a network device, the one or more signals comprising a request for a user presence probability value of a designated user;

    detecting, via use of one or more sensors of the destination device, user-specific characteristics of a detected user, the user-specific characteristics comprising blood pressure, skin conductivity, electro-encephalograph measurements (EEG), one or more fingerprints, one or more facial features, voice recognition, or any combination thereof;

    determining, by the destination device, a measured user-specific characteristic profile based, at least in part, on the user-specific characteristics of the detected user;

    comparing, by the destination device, the measured user-specific characteristic profile to a stored user-specific characteristic profile to determine a characteristic-specific user presence probability value, wherein the comparing comprises determining a measure of closeness between the measured user-specific characteristic profile and the stored user-specific characteristic profile;

    determining, by the destination device, the user presence probability value based at least in part on the characteristic-specific user presence probability value, the user presence probability value indicating a probability that the detected user is the designated user; and

    transmitting, by the destination device, one or more signals comprising the user presence probability value to the network device.
