1. A method for presenting a picture-in-picture window on a display, the method comprising:

  • presenting the picture-in-picture window that provides first television programming at a first location within a larger window that simultaneously provides second television programming that is different from the first television programming on the display;

    while the picture-in-picture window is visible on the display, simultaneously presenting a graphical navigation feature proximate the picture-in-picture window on the display, wherein the graphical navigation feature has a distance from and a positioning with respect to the picture-in-picture window;

    receiving a two-dimensional input that selects the graphical navigation feature; and

    in response to the two-dimensional input selecting the graphical navigation feature, moving the picture-in-picture window from the first location to a second location within the larger window of the display as the picture-in-picture window presents the first television programming within the second television programming on the display, wherein, subsequent to said moving, the graphical navigation feature remains present on the display, further wherein the graphical navigation feature retains the distance from and the positioning with respect to the picture-in-picture window subsequent to said moving, and further wherein a portion of the graphical navigation feature is not displayed when the picture-in-picture window is moved so as to be abuttingly adjacent to an edge of the display.
