1. A method implemented in a skin lesion scanning device, comprising:
- receiving, on a two-dimensional electronic display of a skin lesion scanning device, a user input;
determining, by the skin lesion scanning device and in response to the user input, that a first time interval has expired or that the first time interval has not expired;
providing, on the two-dimensional electronic display and in response to determining that the first time interval has not expired, a first user interface element configured to initiate a skin lesion scanning operation by the skin lesion scanning device in response to an interaction with the user interface element by the user; and
providing, on the two-dimensional electronic display and in response to determining that the first time interval has expired, a second user interface element configured to inform the user that a performance of the device needs to be checked.

11. A computer program product residing on in a non-transitory computer readable device, the computer program comprising instructions that when executed by a skin lesion scanning device cause the skin lesion scanning device to perform operations comprising:
-
receiving, on a two-dimensional electronic display of a skin lesion scanning device, a user input; determining, by the skin lesion scanning device and in response to the user input, that a first time interval has expired or that the first time interval has not expired; providing, on the two-dimensional electronic display and in response to determining that the first time interval has not expired, a first user interface element configured to initiate a skin lesion scanning operation by the skin lesion scanning device in response to an interaction with the user interface element by the user; and providing, on the two-dimensional electronic display and in response to determining that the first time interval has expired, a second user interface element configured to inform the user that a performance of the device needs to be checked. - View Dependent Claims (12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20)
